In July 2011, HistoryMiami became part of the prestigious Smithsonian Institution Affiliations Program. Located in the historic City Beautiful, the Coral Gables Museum is a restored 3,000-square-foot gallery and 5,000-square-foot public plaza that was once the city’s police and fire station. Renovated and reopened in 2011, this charming museum lets visitors explore permanent and traveling art and design exhibits, hear lectures, listen to musical concerts or take a Saturday morning walking tour with a knowledgeable guide.

Take an awe-inspiring and informative look back in time as you explore more than 250 years of Jewish history in Florida at the Jewish Museum of Florida. Listed on the National Register of Historic Places, the museum’s 1936 Art Deco building features 77 stained glass windows, a Moorish copper dome, Art Deco chandeliers and marble bimah. The focal point of this extraordinary museum is its permanent exhibit MOSAIC: Jewish Life in Florida.
